Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) Skill Assessment

Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership, or AITSL. To make sure educators fit the requirements for employment or immigration, AITSL evaluates their credentials, experience as teachers, and skill sets against Australian standards. In order to be evaluated, you must show proof of your academic background, teaching experience, and, frequently, lesson plans, observations from the classroom, and professional references. Once the AITSL Skill Assessment is successfully completed, the educator’s competency and fitness to teach in Australian schools are validated, which makes it easier for them to integrate into the system and allows them to effectively support students’ growth and learning.

Document Checklist for AITSL Skill Assessment

Qualification: Must completed four years of full time qualification in University or include relevant teacher education qualification.

English Language requirement: Must have English requirement of IELTS Overall 7 score 7.0 in both reading and writing; and 8.0 in both speaking and listening.

AITSL: Does not accept PTE,PEAT,ISLPR ,TOEFL, OXFORD and any other English proficiency test.

Identity Proof: Identity Documents include Passport, Identity Card and Birth Certificate.

PHD Degree Holders: A doctorate completed in one of the six English-speaking nations on the list may be accepted by AITSL as equivalent to a maximum of two years of full-time study toward fulfilling the English language criterion’s study option.

Supervised Teaching Practice Statement: The practice is evaluated formally, and as evidence of this supervised teaching experience, AITSL demands an official declaration from the university awarding the ITE certificate. Teaching Practice in which teacher is supervised by licensed teacher and university personnel
